Britain’s Chris Froome has reclaimed the Tour de France leader’s yellow jersey as Michael Matthews won stage 14 in an uphill sprint finish.

Australian Team Sunweb rider Matthews beat Olympic road race champion Greg van Avermaet into second on the 181.5km route between Blagnac and Rodez.

Italian Fabio Aru’s poor sprint handed the lead back to Team Sky’s Froome, who finished seventh.

The three-time champion now has an overall lead of 19 seconds.
