Jackson Kalz from Glenelg Golf Club fired a final round one-under 71 to finish fourth at the IMG Academy Junior World Championships at Torrey Pines Golf Course in the United States.
It is just reward for Kalz, who missed Glenelg’s Simpson Cup Pennant win due to his committement to the international tournament.
The 2017 South Australian Junior State Captain, fired rounds of 72,69,74,71 to finish 2-under, six strokes behind Julian Perico from Peru, who took out the championship with rounds of 70,72,70,68 (8-under).
Kalz and Andre Lautee from Kingston Heath Golf Club in Victoria finished in second place in the teams event.
The IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships is the largest international event in the world and is unique for its international representation and cultural diversity. The tournament has grown to 1200 participants representing 56 countries and 42 states and is played in various age divisions, from 6-under through to the 15-18 Division.
